Quarterly Metro Denver Real Estate Market Update – Q1 2015

Update

  • The average sales price for residential homes in metro Denver was $343,354 at the end of the first quarter of 2015. This is a 13.7% increase from the end of the first quarter of 2014. This average includes both detached & attached residential homes.
  • For the first quarter of 2015, there were 14,804 residential homes listed. This is a 1.6% increase from 14,572 residential homes listed during the first quarter of 2014.
  • 5,166 residential homes were on the market in metro Denver at the end of the first quarter of 2015. This is a 24.5% decrease from 6,840 residential homes on the market at the end of the first quarter of 2014.
  • For the first quarter of 2015, 10,139 residential homes were sold in metro Denver. This is an increase of 0.8% from the 10,062 homes sold during the first quarter of 2014.
  • For the first quarter of 2015, 16,295 residential homes were placed under contract in metro Denver. This is an increase of 2.3% from the 15,926 residential homes placed under contract during the first quarter of 2014.
  • Forbes ranked Denver as the 6th Fastest Growing City in America with a population growth in 2014 of 1.74%. The top 10 cities on the list included: Houston, Austin, Dallas, Raleigh, Seattle, Denver, San Francisco, Fort Worth, Charlotte, and San Antonio.
