As the new St. Anthony Hospital (off 6th Avenue and Simms) is gearing up to become fully operational, the old site (near Colfax and Sheridan) is gearing up to be sold (according to the Denver Post). This location is one block south of Sloan’s Lake and a few blocks north of the new RTD FasTracks West Corridor light rail line.
I personally would like to see them redevelop the space to be a mix of residential and commercial, similar to the Belmar area (off Wadsworth and Alameda). It might be unique to see some residential units that overlook Sloan’s Lake. This land is prime real estate due to the proximity to Downtown Denver and the new light rail line.
